23-04-2020 - The Secret of the Master (AVROTROS) wins another international TV award with its episode on Turner's 'Clouds and Water' (Museum de Fundatie collection) once again. This time at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, where the TV programme has been awarded 'gold' in the The Arts category. The international festival judges distinguished television programmes from more than 50 different countries.
Turner's 'Clouds and Water' won the award
The episode of The Master's Secret that won the prestigious award centres on artist William Turner's painting 'Clouds and Water'. It is the only Turner s painting on display in the Netherlands. The original hangs in Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle.
Prize by post
During the gala in Las Vegas, the prize was to be presented to Marc Pos, producer of POSVIDEO, but because of the coronavirus, the prize now comes by post. That doesn't make the reward any less wonderful. Pos: "The Secret of the Master is and will remain a very special project, in which we tell timeless inspiring stories about geniuses of yesteryear. To receive such important recognition precisely in these times is a fine thing. The Secret of the Master team is gilded with this honour."
