The Hanseatic era was an explosion of art and culture. Now four Hanseatic cities are once again given their own musical voice, translated into new compositions that let the character, story and soul of the cities resound.
The Hanzensted Tour
Let yourself be carried along the waters, stories and sounds of the Hanseatic League. During the Hanseatic City Tour, music, history and imagination come together. Experience the concerts on various dates and locations including the sculpture garden of Museum de Fundatie Heino.
Themes such as connectedness, water, prosperity, trade and city life flow through the Hanseatic City Tour. Four international composers, Alison Isadora, Reza Namavar, Silvia Borzelli and Asim Singh Halwarvi, translated these age-old Hanseatic themes into new compositions of today. These compositions will be played by Orchestra de Ereprijs. For over 45 years, Orkest De Ereprijs has been the ensemble for contemporary music rooted in the eastern part of the Netherlands. The orchestra has a permanent strength of fourteen musicians and knows how to surprise audiences with its own timbre. In national and international concerts and with exciting collaborations, De Ereprijs brings the latest sound.
In addition, writer Bas Steman takes the audience into the story of the Hanseatic cities. In spoken word, he interweaves stories of origin, flowering, change and the present with the music, bringing together past and present in a multi-layered musical journey.
